PLAY #1: 4 Out Motion

Keys to success: I recommend putting your best playmaker in the ‘5’ spot – it will supercharge your zone offense. With each pass along the perimeter, players should look to quickly move the ball or attack gaps in the defense. This offense is not meant to be a stationary offense. Find open space and cut to it, keep the ball moving quickly. Back door cuts will be open when the ball goes to ‘5’ in the high post.
Elapsed Time: 10-30 seconds. Since this is a motion offense it can be run continuously or to get a basket within the first few passes.
Helpful Drills: Passing drills; Finishing drills; Shooting drills.

PLAY #2: 5 Out Motion Offense

Keys to success: All the positions are completely interchangeable. This is a play that works well when practiced many times. Players will develop a feel for the play and start to move naturally and understand the defenses tendencies, that’s when you will have the most success.
Elapsed Time: 10-30 seconds. Since this is a motion offense it can be run continuously or to get a basket within the first few passes.
Helpful Drills: Reading Defense drills; Shooting drills; Finishing drills; Passing drills.

PLAY #3: High-Low Motion Offense

Keys to success: The ball must move quickly, do not hold onto the ball. Pass fakes can be an effect way to divert defensive players in zone. Look to attack the defense.

Elapsed Time: 10-30 seconds. Since this is a motion offense it can be run continuously or to get a basket within the first few passes.

Helpful Drills: Reading Defense drills; Shooting drills; Finishing drills; Passing drills; Post Play drills.
