Introducing Mini Advantages

Introducing Mini Advantages

Hey, it’s coach Dan, I’m glad you’re joining me to turn your team into a zone busting juggernaut.

Every offensive possession against any zone we want to create a mini advantage. A mini advantage is a mini 3-on-2 or 2-on-1 somewhere on the court. You know the rules of a fast break 3-on-2 or 2-on-1, right? The ball handler attacks the basket until the defense stops the ball and whatever decision you make, do it quickly – passive play does not get rewarded. The same principles apply to your zone offense when you create mini advantages.

I’m going to go through a ton of game film to help you teach 10 attacking principles to create mini advantages that work against any zone defense and for all levels of basketball.

This will upgrade your zone offense regardless of your team’s strengths. Lots of shooters, awesome. No shooters, it’s still going to work.

I’m also going to share some half-court sets from the member’s area that use these principles and will help you punish zone defenses.

Let’s get to it!
